Roulette is a lot of fun. But that gets old after a time.
The roulette wheel is familiar with players. It is one of most popular casino games in the world.
This game was named after, or inspired by, a French term meaning “small wheel.”
Most likely that has to do with the concept of the game, which is a spinning wheel — learn more.

And who couldn’t benefit from taking something you’re already doing and putting an interesting twist on it?
European Roulette:
European Roulette is the most popular game version. European Roulette is appropriate for beginners and high rollers, which means these live dealer tables will be busy.
There are a total of 37 pockets, including one zero pocket (notated by a ‘0’). The odds of hitting a single number make a bet like that a 1:37 shot.
The zero pockets are crucial because of the ‘En Prison’ rule in European Roulette.
In the event that you bet even money (Red/Black or Odd/Even) and the ball lands on zero, you retain your wager and spin again.
American Roulette:
In American roulette, there are 38 spaces:
18 red
18 black
2 green
A zero and a double-zero indicate the green spaces. In fact, American-style online Roulette has two dedicated house spaces. And you can probably see why this is a problem for players.
First, the probability of the ball landing on a particular number is 1 in 38 not 1 in 37 which means you have a reduced coverage of the winning spin.
Plus, there are two green spaces — meaning that if the ball lands in either, the players will forfeit any even-money bets.
Additionally, there is an American-style online roulette bet called the basket that covers five spaces at the same time: 0, 00, 1, 2, and 3.
This is a bet that players should avoid. Because it has the lowest expected payback percentage of all. So avoid betting on the basket — or payback potential will be less than it could be if you’re lucky.
French roulette tables:
There is just one green zero segment, as in European roulette. However, in the case of French roulette, it is the players that are now at an advantage, because with the green zero hitting, they do not necessarily lose their 50/50 bets (everything on red or black, or odd or even).
Instead, under the local rule, these bets are eligible for La Partage, in which case the player gets half of his losing 50/50 bet chips back when zero is called.
And let’s not forget the En Prison rule. For another round of spins, all the chips are locked in on red or black, on odd or even. Win, and you get your chips back.
Layout of a triple zero roulette wheel:
You probably see where this one is going. Indeed the triple zero roulette table layout contains another green zero segment on the table but this one is a triple zero.
Of course, this further reduces your long-term win rates compared with the double zero option in American Roulette.
First there were triple zero tables so that any extra juice could be donated to some casino charity or another.
Speed Roulette:
This version shaves the action in the same way as Evolution Gaming’s Live Roulette. The wait time between spins is only 25 seconds. This means the game will take around half as long to play as a standard live Roulette game. Betting is given a ten-second window during the spin.
Auto Roulette:
Available in both a mainstream and VIP tables, Auto Roulette runs at a rapid pace, with real live-wheel action and high-quality look and feel. Auto Roulette does not include a live dealer. It features a state-of-the-art, fully automated, high-precision Roulette wheel that can perform 60 to 80 games per hour, all day and night.
Mini Roulette:
So, mini roulette is a much lesser-known version of the game, but it is becoming more popular on the net. It is a scaled-down version of the game, with fewer numbers and fewer ways to bet. Nonetheless, the basic tenets are unchanged.
Other Online Roulette Games:
Over time, several online welcome bonus casino have developed their versions of roulette with different features and rules. It will still be the same game in general, but with some changes to where its more thrilling.
There are progressive games, for instance, that pays large jackpots if one number comes up a certain number of times in a row.
